Koushik Aithal & Chaitanya enthrall invited audience @ Suchitra Film Society on
27 March 2015 evening
” If I were to construe myself other than the profession I’m in, I would’ve loved to be born a Fakir… ” ……reason being music and the forceful presentation this duo offered so soulfully to the discerning in the form of an extensive Raag Shree & Raag Bhopali….but to me the soulful renditions rather reminded of Pt.Sajan & Rajn Mishra in their prime youth.
Truly the organizer put it across about how their singing was likened to The Late Doyen Pt.Kumar Gandhharva..though many in new generation would have hardly listened to the maestro who virtually had to perform with a solitary lung and yet performed with such finesse, but the impression Koushik and Chaitanya left on the emotions that be, are truly to be felt..so apt and clear gayaki these two upcoming talents made, is to be appreciated..so are the accompaniments.
Suchitra Film Society organised this Jugalbandhi in memory of Jnanapeeth Awardee & Karnataka Pride Late Dr.U.R.Ananthamurthy, a befitting tribute indeed.
