A classy act and far cry from ‘also ran stuff’..what a turnaround performance indeed..!! To sing is God’s gift and to sing like Manna Dey is furthermore difficult while not exactly copying. This is where Surjo stands apart. He has all the qualities and rare vibrato command that the Legendary singer possessed. In addition, Surjo’s voice resembles Manna da’s and undoubtedly, it is a treat for the listeners longing to listen to the Legend’s popular numbers. Manna da has left behind a rich legacy in Srujo.
Being judgemental and to draw comparison shall never end, but Surjo is so dedicated and sincere that one cannot find fault with his virtuoso performance..he performs with such ease and elan.
